WhatsApp self-deleting messages feature coming soon

In two beta versions, 2.20.83, as well as 2.20.84 of the app, the option to set self-deleting messages in private chats, was be found and one can choose the expiry period of the messages between one hour, one day, one week, one month or one year.

According to a recent report, the feature will be initially available for group chats only and can be enabled by the group’s administrators. Once enabled, the feature can be toggled in Contact Info or Group Settings.

According to wabetainfo report, In these new 2.20.83/2.20.84 updates, WhatsApp has reintroduced the Delete Messages feature for individual chats again. The user can choose how long new messages will last before they are deleted. The feature is under development but today we know that, when WhatsApp is going to release the feature, the Delete Messages feature will work for individual chats too.
