The PUBG universe is expanding rapidly and recently the Pubg Studio has announced a new futuristic battle royale game “PUBG: New State”. Unlike other battle royale games we have seen so far, the PUBG Mobile 2 or PUBG Project XTRM or its official new name: PUBG: New State game will be set in the future in the year 2051. It also has a context to it followed by a short story which you can read all about in our previous PUBG New State post which includes the full changelog.
For PUBG fans, the announcement of a new game is breathtaking but confusing too. That’s why in this post we have explained everything you need to know about PUBG: New State. So without any further delay, let’s get into the details.
PUBG: New State Introduction
PUBG: New State takes the existing battle royale to a futuristic landscape. Krafton, the official owner of PUBG, is a South Korean video game holding released a sequel to the original PUBG game under it’s subsidiary called “Pubg Studios”.
We also got to see a short launch trailer which basically opened the pre-registrations for the game. It also feature some gameplay which shows a completely new map, weapons, gear, vehicles, etc. You will notice PUBG: New State is a lot different than the original Pubg Mobile and Pubg PC, but the game mode remains the same which is Battle Royale.
New State occurs years after the current PUBG game set in 2051 where anarchy rules as numerous factions battle each other. That’s what the highlighted “A” in the New State logo represents – Anarchy.
Furthermore, unlike old maps such as Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, and Livik, the New State will feature a new map called “TORI”. It will follow the same battle royale formula of the original, containing the same player count of 100 and an ever shrinking blue circle. Players face off until only one player or a team remains standing, as per the details provided on the play store.
Instead of “Winner-Winner Chicken Dinner”, it seems like the winners will be termed as “Lone Survivors” in this game.
Moreover, the developers also promised to bring a new set of futuristic weapons, drones, futuristic vehicles, and deployed combat shields. Based on early images and the trailer, the PUBG: New State is looking similar to some of the Call of Duty games.
