How to watch Google Pixel 7 and Pixel Watch event

Share

Powered by Google starts this Thursday, October 6, at 10am ET. Even though the big reveal has been completely leaked, it still promises to be a show worth checking out (if only to hit that pre-order button ASAP).

The headliners of the event are the Google Pixel 7 and the Google Pixel Watch. Also, we can expect some new Nest hardware and, if we’re really lucky, a Pixel tablet announcement. It’s doubtful that any revelation will be as dramatic as Apple’s removal of the SIM card, but the new Pixel Watch has great potential to shake up the smartwatch industry.

We’re super excited to see what Google announces (and whether the Pixel 7 will crack our list of best Android phones), and we’re sure you are, too. Read on to find out how to watch Made by Google 2022.

When and where is the Made by Google 2022 event?

We expect all the devices announced at Google’s event to be available for pre-order after the event, as leaks suggest that the headline devices will go on sale on October 18. If you’re not on the East Coast, here are the time zones for other areas in the US, UK and parts of Europe.

What will be revealed at Made by Google 2022?

The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro have been leaked, confirming cinematic blur features and a new tensor chip in the new phones. We also know a lot about the Pixel Watch, which looks to be a premium addition to the Android smartwatch lineup. However, water becomes polluted beyond these guaranteed releases.

New Google Nest hardware

While we don’t know the details, the event’s launch page confirms that there will be “additions to the Nest smart home portfolio.” We’ve seen a few rumors about what might be announced, but unless we see a leak this month, we’ll have to wait until the event.

A budget Chromecast

A new 1080p Chromecast has been rumored since early 2022, and we expect it to launch on October 6. However, it is already available for purchase until September 22.

While a high-end Chromecast announcement is highly unlikely, we rate the possibilities as similar to a Pixel tablet.

Sadly, no Google Pixel tablet

At Google I/O 2022, Google confirmed that it will release the Pixel tablet in 2023. However, that doesn’t mean we won’t see any additional information on Made by Google. If we’re lucky, we might get a hands-on demo.

For a more detailed breakdown, here’s a rundown of every announcement we expect at the Google-produced event.

October 6 is an exciting day for Google fans

While the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are mostly improvements over the Pixel 6, the new Pixel Watch will be an interesting addition to the range of Android smartwatches. Expect a detailed review from us upon release. It might even make it to our list of the best Android smartwatches.
