It featured Payload 2.0, new anti-cheat technology, and also introduced a new season called Metro Royale with Royale pass 16. While PUBG Mobile 1.0 update was the biggest update in PUBG history, as it featured a New Era celebrating their 1st anniversary. The update introduced new maps like Erangle 2.0, Livik, Payload 2.0, etc; apart from performance improvements, support for high screen refresh rate (90 Hz), and much more. Although it’s not officially tagged, it brings winter setting to the new Erangle 2.0 map featuring ice-covered camps, sea, houses, and more. Erangel sea in ice floes. FROST FESTIVAL MODE
1. A cold wave has covered the Erangel sea in ice floes. Follow them to the Frosty Ice Castle, enjoy snowball fights, and go snowboarding.
2. Celebrate with teammates at the Frost Festival hut and pine tree!
1. New Map: Unique environments and combat await in a new Erangel-based zone.
2. New Gameplay: Strap up, beat enemies, raid supplies, bring back loot, and progress in a new way.
3. New Challenges: Metro monsters lurk in the shadows. Seek the dawn amid peril!
Plus, you get to enjoy all the stunning upgrades from the previous versions including Metro Royale – in collaboration with the popular PC game called Metro Exodus. It brings a revamped Payload 2.0 map based on Erangel 2.0 environment and combat. Erangel 2.0 features ruins, trenches, a bandit camp, and other locations waiting to be explored. These maps are Metro Exodus themed with an underground setting.
